Computer virus detection from Flash Disk

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Presence or absence of viruses on the PC can be detected by portable applications that have the virus in the flash disk (UFD). Allows you to secure the UFD from the virus and eradicate the virus.

Computers can be infected with the virus via a USB flash disk (UFD). But, from where the virus originated in the UFD. From an infected computer, of course. For example the computers in the cafe-cafe. Thus, also prevent the entry of virus into the UFD. The trick is to scan your computer to UFD.
We could run a portable antivirus, antivirus stored in the UFD, do not have to be installed on your computer to be able to walk. With antivirus, the computer will be scanned. Hmm ... indeed, it did not take a little, if the computer has too many files. However, it is like that fact in the IT world, comfort is inversely proportional to security.
    What we need is a portable antivirus, such as AntivirX, ClamWin can be downloaded from www.clamwin.com. We also need to create a file that way automatically when the UFD plug. Files that will run antivirus in UFD. This is similar to the way files are often automated installation program on the CD.
Open Notepad and type the command lines below.
[autorun]
Open = antivirus.exe
Action = Open Anti Virus Portable!
Icon = icon.ico
Label = your_name
If so, save with the name autorun.inf. In order not to be a TXT file, change the Save as Type to [All Files].
The following is a brief explanation of the commands in autorun.inf file earlier.
Command "Open" is the command to open the antivirus. Open the command followed by a run antivirus files. So, replace "antivirus.exe" in order that the file name used antivirus. For example, the file name antivirus "antivirx.exe" then the command to "Open = clamwin.exe". Well, if the file was in another folder such as folder AntivirX 1.0, the order was changed to "Open = AntivirX 1.0-clamwin.exe".
Command "Action" is useful to display the sentence in the dialog box when the antivirus is executed. The sentence that follows this command should be replaced with other words.
Command "Icon" function to replace the standard icons that appear UFD in Windows Explorer. There is a special function related to antivirus, the icon is just to beautify it. Of course, the icon file must exist also in the UFD. File name in the example "icon.ico" is replaced in accordance with the icon file name is used.
Finally, the command "label" function lo give the name of the UFD. Just as the "Icon", this command also something to do with the entry of virus prevention efforts.
Autorun.inf file attributes that should be made to "Read-Only" - can only be read, not modified. If it can not be changed, meaning the virus will not be able to modify the file. This way, right-click that file, then click [Properties]. In the Attributes section, check the [Read-Only].
Here is a UFD use to detect viruses on your computer.
1. Enter the UFD, but do not open the flash disk on the computer. UFD has not opened, the computer virus will not enter into the flash disk or vice versa.
2. Run automatic road function by clicking the [OK] on the dialog box that appears. Existing portable antivirus on the UFD will run.
3. Virus scan on the computer, especially in the C:-Windows-System32.
4. If there is antivirus reported a virus, do not hesitate, it's a computer virus.
5. Next please clean up the computer. If not, well just pull the UFD rush to plug it.
